June Goals and Intentions

June started off with a BANG! I was determined to be much more mindful and productive this month luckily it just started. I have great dear friends Raewyn and Pamela to keep me accountable as well. We have a lot of important adult things to get down around here so we’ve been busy trying to get those checked off first! Here’s a good look at what I want to do with my month:

June Goals:

1. Blog M/W/F consistently
2. Follow editorial calendar for the month
3. Batch write and Batch schedule for social media (sun, tues, thurs)
4. Keep house clean weekly
5. Meditate Daily
6. Journal Daily
7. Drink at least one bottle of water a day
8. Read one Book, Listen to one Audible book.
9. Practice Brush Lettering
10. Use Panda Planner daily

June Intentions:

1) Streamline VA biz stuff:
-create packages, pricing, cut down to 10 services or less
2) Keep up with VA (SSS jobs/FB groups/Trello tasks)/ Blog regularly M/W/F
3) I want to stick to my daily routine- wake up at 9am, planner/journal, morning routine- grandfather not bed at midnight-1am and begin with my night routine.
I hope I can stick to all these plans and also write posts about some of them! Tell me what you’d like to see! Do you have monthly goals? What are they? Comment below!

May Goals and Intentions

A lot in April was distracting away from my blog plans and productivity. But I’ll tell you the truth- it was my fault! It cane so suddenly and I didn’t plan for the month really at all ahead of time. Things all happened so fast and while I enjoyed it, it was a plain relax month. So I’m sorry that I dropped the ball again but I had a great time.

April Intentions Recap

A) Blog every M/W/F/Sun. Post regularly to social media, write up and send newsletter and include links and VA information
  • I did not get to do this. We had an unexpected (good) visit with a friend and I was quite busy. While we did do a lot of fun things I didn’t document as much as I would have liked. I still have a plan in place for blogging on a weekly basis but I wish I had done better.
B) Overhaul VA page and do one trial run for testimonial with new packages
-design package graphics and set up terms/information
  • I also wasn’t able to do this however, I have set up a trade to start some VA services in exchange for a website setup. So I’m excited to say that will be starting soon!
C) Read another book, finish Miracle Morning and write review this month.
  • Yeah I didn’t do this one either much. I wanted to read more in my spare time but I haven’t came around to it yet.

March Goals and Intentions

This past month was self admittedly not much progress on my goals, it just didn’t happen. I guess to be fair- some did improve and some didn’t stick at all. But besides that, I do still want to work on them so I’ll try to pick fewer and focus on them more routinely. These are the few from last month that I chose to focus on and from looking I got about half of them accomplished. Better than nothing at all I suppose!

February Intentions Recap:

A) Book review- Feisty and Fearless and You are a Badass
-Read every night until You are a badass is complete, put status updates on Goodreads
-review on Goodreads rate for other readers book 2 for yearly challenge
B) Get 2 VA clients and get testimonials from those clients to build brand
-Promote the VA business in groups, on social media and through word of mouth and referrals
-Create design for infographics for VA business
-Try to gain one new small skill for services
  • I tried to get on this one however I was sidetracked when I got some re-design efficiency advice. So I started to overhaul my VA page and took it down for the time being while I figure out my direction and purpose. I did promote it before however I got this advice from a professional in the field. I’m going to try to get ahead on this and drive through for Virtual Assisting.
C) Keep my blog successfully written 4x a week
-Draft a week in advance ( I kept up but not ahead in Jan. )
-Stay on top of Hootsuite and social media for my blog/VA
-Vary topics weekly-pets, life, linkups and more!
  • Writing consistently? YEP CHECK! Until this last week I was totally written every M/W/F/Sun in February. I’m proud of myself for keeping to this one it’s been hard but I did pretty good. I haven’t scheduled social media quite as much as I should have for visual means. I’m working on that one still. I’ve done good with varying topics as well- trying to stay and not widen too far but my categories up top are pretty spread out. I haven’t drafted a week in advance (right now I’m catching up) but I’m motivated so maybe this month.

Goals for February (done):

I did connect with friends more.// I definitely wrote more in my Instant Happy Journal and also started journaling through freewrites.// I’m just starting to re-organize my online life, photos and emails (which I need to do again). // I kept the blog successful by writing regularly. // I did ‘meet’ some business connections in groups on facebook and others. // We also managed to keep the house in clean state of sorts. //
Now onto this month:

February Goals and Intentions

If you’ve been around for awhile following me since The Petite Mrs blog or prior you’d know I love doing goals and intentions posts. It really one of my favorite posts to write because they motivate me through the month. I don’t ever do perfectly on them and I check in often but I definetly get more accomplished when I know what expectations I put on myself. So for February these are some points I want to aim for, most are simple daily routine things I want to get on top of. The intentions at the bottom are my biggest priority.

Goals

  1. Read nightly/complete a book/review it
  2. Less time on phone, Sunday media free
  3. Talk to friends more
  4. Make more business connections
  5. Drink more water
  6. Write more in Instant Happy Journal
  7. Keep house neat
  8. Use planner weekly/daily
  9. Stop biting my nails
  10. Get 2 VA clients (one mini successful-12/31/16)
  11. Get active/go to gym 2-3x weekly
  12. Keep blog successful 4x a week
  13. Organize online life/pictures/data/documents
  14. Use Fitbit regularly
  15. Use my resources available to me (how to’s/planners/checklists etc) to set a plan for routine

    Intentions

    A) Book review- Feisty and Fearless and You are a Badass
-Read every night until You are a badass is complete, put status updates on Goodreads
-review on Goodreads rate for other readers book 2 for yearly challenge
    B) Get 2 VA clients and get testimonials from those clients to build brand
-Promote the VA business in groups, on social media and through word of mouth and referrals
-Create design for infographics for VA business
-Try to gain one new small skill for services
    C) Keep my blog successfully written 4x a week
-Draft a week in advance ( I kept up but not ahead in Jan. )
-Stay on top of Hootsuite and social media for my blog/VA
-Vary topics weekly-pets, life, linkups and more!
I hope I can check most of these off the list and feel more accomplished overall in the new month of February. I’m hoping to get you to share your monthly goals as well. Leave any exciting ones below!

    January Goals and Intentions

Do you make goals or intentions for your month? We all say January is resolutions time, right? But I usually think of eating right and weight-loss when it comes to that. I make monthly goals based on simple things I want to accomplish in the next thirty days.
    Personal:

    1. begin a routine, stick with it for 2 weeks (at a time, re-evaluate)
    2. self- love time daily, or weekly
    3. continue writing in instant happy journal

    Blog:

    1. get newsletter up and running by end of month
    2. post regularly, 4x weekly
    3. social media share on each post with Hootsuite

    Health:

    1. drink water everyday (test amounts with planner)
    2. keep a good hygiene schedule (physical, dental, mental etc)
    3. eat well and full meals/snack occasionally

    Books/Reviews:

    1. read something everyday
    2. read at night or in the morning for 30 mins to an hour
    3. read at least one book and one audio-book

    Marriage:

    1. keep the lines of communication open
    2. listen and don’t speak, while listening
    3. have time together set aside and make it a priority
    Home:
    1. Organize garage-CHECK
    2. stick with a weekly cleaning schedule
    3. organize closets, declutter, donate?
This seems like a nice place to get off to a rolling start. It’s an awful lot for January but maybe between the hustle and bustle of everyday I’ll be able to stick with it. Do the little tasks and things I want to accomplish when I’m bored. I want to see progress in the process and visible growth that matters to me.
If you’ve written goals or intentions down for this month I’d love to hear all about them. Leave a link or comment below and I’ll be absolutely sure to read them. Here’s hoping you’re off to a great start of 20-17!
