May Goals and Intentions

Since it’s the beginning of the month- I’ve been hustling my pants off in this work from home biz of mine and connecting with others, which I really needed. Does anyone else have a hard time with prioritizing things? I sure do! So I’m trying to work on this and time management as well.

April sure flew by real quick and I’m not gonna lie I sorta failed on that months goals. But it’s still early in May so I’m making a plan to be successful in each of these few areas. This time, I’m being purposeful about what I can manage and how much I can handle.

Personal

Daily Routine/Hygiene

Blog 2x per week
Newsletter 1x per week (4x a month at least)

I think these goals are more than attainable. Some I’ll be working on for awhile and continue with but others I can check off and complete. I will get as close to that as possible. I’m getting back into my drive and productivity hustle!

How to cure the Entrepreneurial funk


As a busy millennial entrepreneur, being and staying productive can be quite a task in itself. With working full-time, going to college, running my online business, and building a house all at the same time, it can be tough. It can be extremely hard to come home, sit down at my laptop, and continue with the same pace of productivity.

It’s hard doing #allthethings, y’all.
I know you wear a lot of hats yourself. And let me guess, there are days you just can’t get out of the funk of being uninspired, tired, and just plain exhausted. These are the days when binging on Netflix sounds a whole lot better than working on hanging out in Facebook groups. 
I have been there and done that. I get it. Grab your favorite hot beverage, my friend. Take a moment to sit with me and chat about my top three ways of keeping productive and getting out of that miserable funk we know all too well. 

Remember why you started

My lack of productivity links directly with losing sight of my goals. I noticed when I forgot why I started on this journey, the urgency, the inspiration, and all the jazz just was not as present. If this is you, take the time today to go back down memory lane. Remember why you have chosen this journey. Take in the emotions and feelings and allow yourself to go through those memories all the way to the beginning.
There is always a reason.
I decided to become an entrepreneur because I was tired of the corporate life. I wanted to create a life of my own filled with things I love. Every day at work, I remind myself with my dream board. It’s a collage of photos I put together in Canva and printed off to hang at my desk. I remember my reason for starting on this journey and furthermore, I remind myself of my why. 
This could be in the form of a daily text message, the collage I described, or simply journaling each day that you are thankful for being on the journey towards what your heart seeks. Just remember to visit your reasoning and why every so often. It will guide you and make sure you stay on track. 

Set goals that get you pumped

This starts at the beginning of the year. The beginning of the month. The beginning of each and every single day. Start with the top three goals that you need to a). Accomplish for the day and b). Get you super pumped. What usually happens is I start off slow and sluggish, but after accomplishing my top three goals, I start to gain some momentum and get so pumped I cannot stop when it is time to go to bed. 
True story. 
If you are not overall pumped for your goals and what you want to accomplish, take a second look. See how you either make them more exciting or can realign your goals with what you are passionate about. Sometimes it just takes a quick tweak and you are set to rock n’ roll. 
However, it is not enough to simply make the goals. You need to set them, add a due date, and hold yourself accountable. Planners and homemade goal worksheets have always done the trick for me. 

Don’t force it

No matter what, you cannot force yourself to be more productive, more inspired, or more of anything. Follow where your path and know that it is in your best interest overall. 
If you feel like writing instead of creating graphics, write your heart away. 
Getting out of the funk depends on the actions you are taking to get yourself out of it. If you keep pushing yourself into things that do not align with your purpose, you will never get out of the funk. (Well, maybe eventually.)
As you are in these funks, remember to stay true to who you are. Remember why you started. Set goals that align with your purpose and that pump you up. Finally, do not force anything. Let it come to you and go with the flow. Your journey and sailing will go a lot smoother that way. I promise.

Back at it!

Back at it!

So this is the 15,742 time I’ve tried to write something since January 1st 2018. But this time I’m gonna write because I want to and I want to get you all caught up on my life lately and what’s coming back to this blog. I talk about coming back a lot but seriously I want to make it a regular thing and have you guys enjoy what I have to share about my life and what I’m loving on this blog and life in general. I don’t do enough sharing here. It’s all very shallow and superficial- so let’s get real.

WE’RE MOVING

Okay first of all, yes again. We moved to this house about a year and a half ago because we wanted a house and we wanted to be in a quiet neighborhood and have it all. But we didn’t. That ended up with a bad roommate (again) and seriously regretted it. So now we are downsizing and decided to go back to an apartment that we were very comfortable in and have previous experience with new management. It’s in town and closer to our needs and although we are buying out of our contract I think it will be a much happier environment. We have two days to finish packing and my heart is already at the new place. I’m over this environment and ready to create a bright new space.


YOUNIQUE

I have been so absent here I haven’t really talked about my newest greatest passion besides this online space. I never loved makeup but lately (in the last few months) it’s been a new refreshing hobby/hustrle and I’m enjoying it so much. Younique is completely woman centered and gives back much of the donations given to their own “Safe Haven Women’s Retreat” for women who’ve been sexually abused as kids. It’s a foundation near and dear to my own heart and I hope I can learn more in the coming months and write even more about it. I feel like it’s where I’m meant to be. Building a team and making someone excited about the journey we are on together is the best feeling ever. (side note: Last night I watched a Younique sister *not my team, same company* hit a elite status and when she doubted she could do it, everyone banded together and supported her for an hour as she HIT HER GREEN STATUS. I was so moved I cried like a baby and wrote her a bunch of notes of love, encouragement and pride. I’m striving right now to hit my next promotion, I’m at 79% and I’ll get a raise! Another huge natural change I’m making in my everyday life and home is essential oils. 2018 Goals

2018 Goals

It’s probably enough of this welcome to 2018 stuff but I cant believe that its really already this far into the new year and I feel like I just opened my eyes. I just got a grip and I’m already behind! Let’s catch up and get going on these goals! I started yesterday with a water challenge and I’m doing pretty good so far. I didn’t do good with tracking and keeping goals last year. Last year review was kinda in the Word of the Year for me so I won’t touch that I was MIA, no excuses and I want to do better. Leave me a comment about your goals and intentions this year and how you’ve started! I just feel like there aren’t enough hours in the day- does anyone relate?!
Without further ado, here ya go!

Home:

-Keep House Tidy
-Organize spaces
-Declutter room by room
-Keep surfaces clean
-just dust already*

Self Care

-Weekly basis for self care
-Chart self care in bullet journal
-getting Bullet Journal layout done and using it
-Treat myself when I’m able to hair/nail treatmnets

Business

-Go LIVE everyday at least once
-Post 3x daily to group, page and parties
-Grow my VIP beauty group (let me know if you would like to be added!)

Blog

-Grow blog and have “active” engagement (comments, shares etc)

-Grow socials/SHARE to socials for every publish
-Write 1-2x a week to 2-3x a week if possible
-New freebie options
-Newsletter 1x weekly (coming tomorrow or perhaps this weekend)

Self Care

Read one book a month
Meditate daily (5-10 mins)
-Morning routine coffee time, meditation, journal
Get dressed, brush teeth, makeup etc

Health

-Aim to drink 71oz of water per day
-get health insurance again (sean’s work)

-get annual checkup and dental appts
-yoga or some physical activity

Marriage

-Focus on quality evening time

-Be nice, use kind words, slow down and listen
-Help Sean when he needs it
-Take more pictures
-Find ways to communicate more effectively
Maybe you related to some of these, to be quite honest I’ve been working on nailing some of these down for years. So let’s all just #CRUSH2018 okay? I’m taking today and planning away with my bullet journaling.
