If you’ve been hanging around with us lately well than I am so glad that you’re here. Basically I wanted to preface this by pointing out that all of our lives have changed somewhat recently and it’s cause for some shifting. Pamela is a new mom and great lady boss, she is amazing at maintaining her brand and paying attention to her readers. However now with a new baby she’s just trying to keep her footing. I still think she’s super wonderful and I’m amazed at how she’s kept up in her Facebook groups and been able to prioritize things so far. We are all having a lot of trouble staying on top of everything at one time. Raewyn is trying to balance being a mom, self love queen boss as well as juggling literally tons of creative projects. I am, also no stranger to these things. Life caught up with me lately. We had our friend out from Kansas which was a blast but shook me off my writing and creative train and sent me back to apps like Snapchat and taking pictures of the moment. (If you aren’t please go follow me every where else on social media as well so you never miss out!) We were having so much fun by the time I got home I would crash and burn and literally head to bed. SO I’m hoping this is turning a new leaf and getting back to what I enjoy so much!

I ‘m starting a new delayed venture… a virtual business website! Yes I am still reaching for these things. I’d love to assist women in managing their crazy schedules on social media and be a sounding board for projects and ideas. I would love to be a extra hand in any facet I can be to those who are slaying their own websites, blogs and businesses. I guess the point being, we are having a shift in the way we run Bloggy Brunch here on the blog. Instead of every week on Sunday it will become a once a month linkup on the last Sunday of the month. To share and create and encapsulate all the things you want to still show us about your month. This can be one post about anything you’re most proud of: A cooking post, a day in the life or routine post, a favorites post with product links or anything that is weighing on your heart. Of course we are not changing the format or order of it; or the main rules we have for it. Those will remain the same and we continue to ask that you abide by them and share with others so we can grow and keep it going!

Getting to Know You | Belle Brita

As a kid, what was your favorite sport or physical activity? Why?

As a kid I enjoyed playing outside and biking with friends as a young child for many years. I also liked t ball in school gym and obstacle courses and climbing walls (not ropes). But as I grew up it became dance, gymnastics and creative movement. I did a lot of styles and I really enjoyed making every move perfect and feeling each one more and more. I don’t exactly know where and when I discovered dance but it was an immediate passion of mine. I kept it in my life until college when life became too busy and I was more concerned with a social life.

How do you relax after a stressful day or week?

I really enjoy having a hot shower or lush bath bomb after a stressful day or week. In addition to when my body is sore, I like the aromatherapy that comes with it. So I tend to buy a bunch at once and then use them over a longer amount of time. A nice mojito is the best thing after a long week at a nice dinner or a dark piece of chocolate. When it comes to sweets and candy  I usually have too much but I need to work on that. Watching TV is a great relaxing thing for me to do as well- this is why I have a DVR.

What hobbies or activities do you share with your loved ones (spouse, children, friends, etc.)?

He loves to game and I do too! We sometimes try to play together but watching movies at home and catching up on shows like Impractical Jokers and Cops is a pastime. We both love food! SO eating is naturally one of our quick choices. I have quite a few friends who love to shop OR blog- so I find good connections there.

How do you balance work and play?

I’m not the best at it and usually end up with too much of the latter. But I’m trying to schedule my time better and plan out my days more. So I quit having chunks of empty time that gets wasted and I then get frustrated with myself for not doing enough.

Bloggy Brunch Week 17

These past two weeks have flown by and I’m a little relieved that it’s over now. We ran around doing a ton of things that kept us very busy. We did quite a lot while Justin was here and there at the very end we tied it up tight by having a good dinner at Outback and taking a few walks. A couple calm down days and then he was off to the plane and sent back home. We missed him the second he left. It’s weird when his bubbly energy was gone all of a sudden.

I haven’t been in a mood to pick back up where I left off.  I’ve been extremely uninspired and less motivated lately to do things blog related. But I want to remain diligent to continue to blog and keep my work going despite all the distractions.

I would like to spotlight my co-self love queen Raewyn and her website Shield Sisters Initiative and her amazing podcast that is gaining listeners by the day. Megan and Raewyn have had some amazing guest speakers, if you haven’t tuned in so far I would encourage you to do so. I’ve enjoyed all her updates and videos in this group as well. Bloggy Brunch Week 16

This week Justin has come to visit us from Kansas and it’s been so fantastic. We were off on a running start by getting a car dash/radio and a GPS put into our new used car. We love our Subaru and it has stood up to go everywhere we need to on a little amount of gas. We took him to the mall and had a fun shopping day and a lunch of sushi. We went out to eat a few times in the beginning because we didn’t have any food yet. The next day we went grocery shopping at Costco which was a fun crazy trip complete with Costco sausage dogs and soda sitting in the car. We spent Easter with family at the in laws house and that was a lot of fun. I think having Justin there in the middle was the nice part.Afterwards to wind down we went to Dave and Busters where I saw my sisters niece Delaney. It was unexpectedly nice to run into her as I haven’t seen her in years since she was about 12, she’s now 21! I hope you all had a lovely Easter weekend!
I love this article about having some helpful morning habits. Getting up and taking some proper time to slowly becom conscious and make good choices is a great start to everyone’s day. Having a routine is a great thing to start (if you don’t already have one) I started simply by changing my sleep schedule and waking up earlier and going to bed earlier, hours difference. I have more energy and feel much more well rested. My moods and daily behavior have improved by making a few changes. I now enjoy a cup of coffee, I journal and if I want to I will take time to do my makeup and choose an outfit. It has completely changed how I handle and tackle the day.

Bloggy Brunch Week 15

:I can clearly ddd

  Tonight I am frazzled because our friend just came into town and I’m having so much fun already having him here with us. He’s from Kansas and he is enjoying a nice long two week vacation with us while none of us are busy. Like a late Spring Break for all of us.
I was really excited to get going with my new Panda Planner so that’s a plan I have with Raewyn today from SSI. She did a FB live on how she uses her Panda planner and how she can write her days and weeks and month out to be the most productive she can be. I’m to become as good at productivity and time management as I can be. I got a larger computer screen recently so I can now double task and I can clearly do two things at once. Lately I really slacked with blogging and that makes me sad, so let me know how you find inspiration? 

I really wanted to spotlight a couple of peoples posts for this week. It was a busy time to be a blogger. Krysten explains why we should binge 13 reasons why on Netflix and how mental health and our sympathy is necessary in this day and age. She’s one of my favorite bloggers so you should check her out if you haven’t yet. 
Anna talks about 5 things she changed to make her blog grow how it changed her outlook on her blog biz. I’m definetly going to apply some of these points a little more than I have been.
